art is akin to MATTER; creative output merely exists in a different state of ART://

When particles group together to form a substance with mass and which takes up space by having volume, we call it MATTER.

When emotions are grouped together to form an experience that is meaningful by creating a connection, we call it ART.

SIGHT SMELL HEARING TOUCH TASTE://

The different states of ART are aligned with the 5 primary senses of the human experience. At its core, there is no distinction between the digital and analogue.

digital art should not require permission://

An electrical outlet only works because a 3rd party gave you permission to use it.

Digital art strives to be PERMISSIONLESS.

At its highest level, digital art wants to exist without electricity. If that’s not possible, then a renewable stored energy source is preferred.

Only as a LAST resort should digital art utilise the power grid for people to experience.

Digital art should not require a government, or any permission, to exist.

tv screens are prostitution://

Dual use cheapens the digital art experience. Over reliance on the tv screen devalues digital art and denies its potential.

The screen is not a frame but instead needs to be purposeful and consider the viewing experience as a core to its existence.

When any screen can be used to view the artwork, the viewing experience becomes agnostic to ownership, thus devaluing it.

prints are replicas://

Prints too often exist to replicate, and therefore don’t represent, the digital art experience. Digital art exists in the same state of ART as any “traditional” physical art.

The physicality of digital art must be a core consideration to a singular creative output, not a secondary action, thereby enhancing the viewing experience.
